UV-cut microlens in convention process could be replaced by the novel material
Much attention has been focused on the reliability requirement of CIS against harsh environmental conditions. Resistance to UV light is one important property for cameras when used in long term exposure to sun light. Mainly due to the short wavelength part of solar radiation would damage components like plastic lenses and color filter array, which reduce the optical efficiency and lifetime. From material analyzing to CIS devicesverification, we confirm the anti-UV microlens material have resistance facing UV light. We regard that the UV-cut microlens in convention process could be replaced by the novel material having focusing and anti-UV function in the future.
