iFG Farglory Square Awakens the Ocean Child in You

How can we inspire city dwellers in Taiwan to reconnect with the ocean? How do we recognize the ocean’s deep influence on daily life and foster a sense of responsibility for marine conservation? iFG Farglory Square is leading the way with a monthlong ocean advocacy event, bringing people closer to the sea and encouraging everyone to take action for its protection!
September: Ocean Month – bringing people closer to the sea
As a beloved gathering spot for families in Xizhi, iFG Farglory Square is transforming foot traffic into a driving force for global change. Under the theme "Embracing the Ocean, Enjoying Life," the mall’s first-floor Creative Corridor is hosting the Whales, Dolphins & Sea Turtles Conservation Exhibition. The powerful images of injured marine animals serve as a stark reminder of the silent cries echoing from the depths of the ocean. To further connect people with the sea, iFG Farglory Square is also offering a special promotion. Shoppers who meet the minimum spending requirement at designated stores can redeem admission tickets to the National Museum of Marine Science & Technology, providing more opportunities for the public to engage with marine conservation.
Experiencing it firsthand: reclaiming our identity as children of the ocean
Taiwan takes great pride in its seafood culture—a culinary tradition shaped by centuries of coastal living. However, beyond just the flavors of the sea, our ancestors also carried a deep-rooted respect and reverence for nature. This is an essential part of Taiwan’s ocean culture that must be revived today. To help every Taiwanese person reconnect with their island heritage, iFG Farglory Square, in collaboration with the Keelung City Government, is organizing a Juvenile Fish Release and Beach Cleanup event on Keelung Islet. With careful planning—the right fish, at the right time, in the right place, using the right methods—this initiative helps restore the local marine ecosystem; and beach cleanups work to reduce human-made waste and its impact on the ocean.
