A Heartfelt Message from Farglory Group’s Breakthrough Lecture Series


Amid a warm and inviting atmosphere, with colorful afternoon tea and lively conversation, four senior executives—Farglory Group Vice Chairman Chao Wen-Chia, along with panelists Vice President Yang Shun-Chin, Tong Yuan Construction General Manager Hsiao Chu-Yen, and Farglory Realty Vice President Chang Yi-Chang—took the stage. Rather than maintaining a formal distance, they engaged the audience with a relaxed and genuine approach, sharing stories and philosophical observations on how “the toughest fighters embrace compassion in their struggles”.

Breaking through: the power of "failing successfully"

When Vice President Yang playfully remarked, "The father of success is… success!", his humor subtly echoed Vice Chairman Chao’s core message—embracing a growth mindset through “acknowledging mistakes, taking responsibility, and learning from it all”.

Merely accumulating failures does not lead to success. It is only through deep reflection and resilience that failure, much like a nurturing mother, gives birth to success. And this success, like a guiding father, lays the foundation for an even stronger future.

The courage to fail stems from “genuine empathy” in partnerships
During the lecture, the host summarized the three panelists' leadership approaches as shaping distinct departmental cultures—"Smiles, Family, and Empowerment." However, at their core, all three embody a deep sense of empathy and consideration.
Despite his demanding schedule, General Manager Hsiao Chu-Yen takes the time to remember every colleague’s name. No matter how great the challenges his team faces, he remains composed and encouraging, leading them to persevere with a smile. Vice President Chang Yi-Chang treats his employees like family, never seeing their weaknesses as shortcomings but rather as opportunities for mutual support and teamwork. Vice President Yang Shun-Chin believes in unlocking his team’s full potential, fostering a culture of bold decision-making through a balance of trust, empowerment, and careful evaluation.

All action stems from the ability to decouple failure from personal worth, embracing employees’ occasional mistakes without diminishing long-term confidence in their potential. In his closing remarks, Vice Chairman Chao Wen-Chia offered words of encouragement: "Everything we’ve discussed today isn’t because anyone here isn’t good enough—you are all outstanding. Give yourselves more room to learn and grow, and I believe you will create new value for yourselves!"
