Farglory Life Promotes Support & Respite Network for Caregivers

Farglory Life has been collaborating with Associations for Family Caregiver Advocacy and Godot Theater Company to promote the Family Caregivers Respite Arts Workshop. For six years running, this Workshop has helped support family caregivers. This year, the Workshop incorporated immersive experiences, improvisation, and other forms of dramatic performance into diverse art-assisted therapy approaches, helping caregivers relax, relieve stress, and re-connect with themselves and their environments.
Building Family-like Group Support Networks
Farglory Life has always been committed to supporting public benefit activities, and understands the pain and hard work family caregivers have to go through. The Respite Arts Workshop, which has been held for many years, is aimed at providing caregivers more support and encouragement; it helps give them temporary relief from their heavy workloads and meet other caregivers like themselves.By accepting the negative emotions generated in the process of caregiving, and getting a chance to meet other caregivers, the family caregivers have organized their own highly-resilient, mutual support groups. As one participant at the arts workshop shared, “I’ve never thought that I could stand on stage as a caregiver – it’s really cathartic!” This caregiver also said, “When I’m feeling physically and mentally exhausted, knowing that there’s a whole group of people who’ve got my back gives me the strength to keep moving forward.”
Arts Workshop Open for Registration: Rest Now, and Be Energized for Tomorrow
The first session of Farglory Life’s 2024 respite arts workshop will be held in Taipei, and is now open for registration. Over the scheduled 15-week (3 hours/week) course, substitute caregivers will be provided so that family caregivers can receive comprehensive support and art-group-assisted healing therapy. Laten on, the workshop will also be held in Tainan and Kaohsiung to help more family caregivers “take a respite today, and be energized for tomorrow.”This linked to
